CLIENT PROCUREMENT BRIEF · OCTOBER 2026

Japanese books,
procured to your brief.

Japan Book Supply is a Japan-based service for client-defined physical Japanese-language book requests.

Start with a list

Send up to 10 priority ISBNs or bibliographic descriptions for an initial sourcing assessment. Include edition, quantity, acceptable condition and destination.

What we check

Before a firm quote, we check whether copies can actually be purchased, then verify edition, condition, completeness, purchase cost and available shipping options.

How pricing works

We do not publish a fixed warehouse catalogue. Availability and book prices change by title, edition and condition. A quote is prepared only after the relevant copies are checked.

What can be supplied

New, used and out-of-print physical Japanese books, including academic, technical, specialist and backlist titles where purchasable copies are available.

THE QUOTATION SEQUENCE

List → assessment → verified quote → approval → procurement → consolidation → delivery

No purchase is made until scope and costs have been agreed. International freight is listed separately from the book and procurement costs.

Documentation

For agreed projects, manifest fields can include the requested ISBN, verified edition, condition, purchase reference, copy count and shipment/carton reference.

Scope boundary

Japan Book Supply procures physical books. Scanning, OCR, digitisation, copyright clearance, reproduction and downstream-use permissions are separate and are not included in book procurement.
